This transmission is called the DPO, DP0 or AL4 transmission from the manufacturer Grupo PSA.

Several street tests are carried out to observe the operation of the transmission, and to observe that the transmission does not make the changes, in addition to the fact that the transmission hits or kicks in the application of the changes, in addition to the fact that the transmission is in protection mode , security mode, service mode or limp mode, due to the transmission oil pressure sensor.

2 sensors of the same brand are tested, which are imitations (piracy), which do not comply with the manufacturer's standards, so they are useless, resistance tests and voltage measurement are carried out, taking information from the workshop manual, to The tests are carried out using the Renault Can Clip agency scanner, multimeter, oscilloscope and pressure gauges graduated in bars.

A diagnosis is made of the communication network (can network communication protocol), measuring different values, observing that it presents communication failures, and that several modules of the car are damaged (short computers), including the transmission computer (TCM ).

Tests are made to the charging and battery system with the Midtronics EXP1000HD equipment, due to the fact that the modules present short circuits and this could be due to problems with the alternator. The oil pressure sensor fault codes are generally DF005 Oil pressure sensor circuit and DF049 Pressure regulation, the oil pressure test is carried out with the manometer connected to the transmission and the values are observed and compared with the data read on the scanner and information from the manual is interpreted and with this it is verified that the sensor does not work, with the help of the curve tracer an original sensor is compared with the generic sensors and it is observed that electronically they are not the same, it is presented how the sensor can be tested outside the car, feeding it with 5 volts of direct current and air pressure.

At the end, the diagnosis of the code 17G or DF017 Oil cooling valve is carried out, and it is diagnosed that the computer output is damaged or burned, this valve is also called "Change flow control electromagnetic valve", in other such as "Oil cooling valve" or "Exchanger flow sensor solenoid valve" in Spanish "Exchanger flow sensor solenoid valve" of the diagnostic chart, its operation is to cool the oil.

At the end I do a test where it can be observed that the transmission presents slipping or slipping, due to pressure loss.
