Dr. Zippy Okoth is a phenomenal woman of so many talents, she's an Actress, singer, theatremaker, thespian, film producer, and lecturer of film and theatre arts at Kenyatta University.

Zippy is the of the Lake International Pan African Film Festival. Her book, Oops Zippy! From The Diary of a Divorced Kenyan Woman launched at the Kenya National Theatre in Nairobi on June 5, 2019.

Today she shares with Pinky why she is so outspoken and why she feels that it's important.

Pinky Ghelani is a trained media professional with over 15 years of media engagement as a radio and TV personality. She is also one of Kenya’s most formidable public speakers and a regular on the TEDx stage.

Pinky is currently a highprofile influencer for UNHCR, championing the LuQuLuQu tribe, an initiative to support the livelihood of refugee people living in Kenya. Pinky has taken a keen interest in working with women and children refugees living in Kenya.

In 2019 Pinky launched What Women Want, a community of people that gets together to empower each other by having relevant and real conversations on topics such as business, family & friends, finance management, and more. Mental wellness and Mental Health has become a real conversation in Kenya with thanks to Pinky being one of the first to start the discussion in a public platform.

What Women Want has held over 40 live events which usually receive over 300 live audience members per show and over 12,000 views, when to live, streamed.

Due to Covid19 and the fact that the event space had to change, What Women Want has evolved into a digital show that has now transformed into a platform where Pinky engages people from dynamic backgrounds to share their knowledge and help inspire and engage an audience that may be seeking ways to rediscover and reinvent themselves, or are just looking for quality conversations.

Pinky Ghelani is passionate about supporting people with great stories to tell as well as being a voice for mental health and wellness, engaging in conversations that count and pushing you to find out who you are through selfdevelopment and selfrealization.
