Draining And Recharging Expansion Tank
I am on boiler maintenance and always check expansion tanks. I usually drain down water and recharge air into the steel expansion tank. Preventive maintenance on the tank prevents rising boiler pressure opening the relief valve. Therefore I do this once or twice a year.
