Hello! Today I'm working on a drawing related to something dear to my heart: pollinator habitat. I'm drawing a bee longing for native plants, which help it thrive. I've been adding native plants to my real life garden to help the animals, birds, and insects. I invite you to do the same if you are able! The crisscross lines and flowers within them represent seed packets, and doing our part to help maintain a strong pollinator habitat. I created my drawing on tracing paper because it's easy to erase and make changes, then I transferred that drawing to a high quality drawing paper. I created a line drawing, then added contrast and texture with lines and stippling. I brought it to life with Prismacolor colored pencils. They added color without covering up the ink drawing, which was perfect!
