Go2 Driving School instructor, Matt Durrant demonstrates how to approach a busy roundabout at a busy time of day and demonstrates how you can plan ahead to avoid stopping at roundabouts. I look early and use blockers on my right to enter the roundabout without any fuss. It’s really important that the clutch remains up where possible to keep the tyres moving and gives the flexibility to accelerate onto the roundabout where needed. Remember, with roundabouts, we take opportunities not chances. I also talk about and give an example of pedestrians about to cross who could wrongly perceive a drivers next move. Never wave or flash a pedestrian to cross as you may not be aware of everything that’s going on around you. You would likely fail a practical driving test If driving on public road and did so.
