There is something about a classic Jaguar, other than it propensity for breaking down, catching on fire, or driving the owners insane with electrical gremlins. When the whole car comes together, and everything works well, there is a joy and elation unlike any other kind of car. Jaguars, more than any other, convey something on their owners and drivers that few other cars can match. There is a richness and elegance to the car, combined with an agility and sporting feel that seems the very definition of motoring in the classic sense.

This Series II XJ6 was the last Jaguar made to feel this way. The cars that came after it were not bad, and in fact many were more reliable, but none possessed the direct lineage back to William Lyons, the founder of the company, and the cars he buried his heart and soul in to.

Indepth review and test drive of a 1986 Jaguar XJ6 Series III. Vehicle is for sale at Autohaus of Naples, on the web at www.AutohausNaples.com, or at (239) 2638500.
