He did MBBS from Maulana Azad Medical College, Delhi University MD & DNB in Internal Medicine and DM in Gastroenterology. He was also a fellow of Japanese Society of Gastroenterology for three month at kinki University, Osaka, Japan, where he was trained in the management of liver cancer.
