Historically, FAANG companies have been some of the most engineeringforward companies in the world. In fact, back in the early 2000s, Larry Page actually fired all project managers at Google because he despised middle management. But since then, these companies have been taken over by middle management. Companies like Google and Facebook now have 810 layers of management between entrylevel managers and the CEO.
