This video is from our 2022 Global Learning Conference.

Pharmacogenomics combines sciences of pharmacology and human genetic to predict person's drug response. This presentation will highlight current use of PGx in a clinical practice, its benefits and limitations, and future direction in complex setting of hypermobile EDS. Focus will be on psychotropics (antidepressants, anesthesia, analgesics) and cardiovascular drugs.

Dr. Adrijana Kekic is a Pharmacogenomics (PGx) Clinical Pharmacy Specialist, Assistant Program Director (APD) for CommunityBased Pharmacy Residency, and APD for Outpatient Pharmacy Education at Mayo Clinic in Arizona (MCA). As a pharmacogenomics clinician, researcher, and educator she leads implementation of pharmacogenomics services across the Mayo Clinic. Her research work includes pharmacogenomics studies in anesthesia, transplant, oncology, palliative care, cardiology, and largescale whole exome sequencing study for preemptive medication monitoring. She lectures extensively on pharmacogenomics with niche in psychopharmacology. As an international speaker and a PGx subject expert she frequents precision medicine podcasts, conferences, and other media platforms.
