I finally got around to swapping the V761 receiver brick out on my Corsair in favor of a Spektrum DSMX receiver with AS3X. The project also called removal of the stock brushed motor and gear reduction drive in favor of an 1108 brushless outrunner and 7 amp brushless ESC.


As usual I made the wing removable for easier transport and compact storage. A short piece of 2mm diameter carbon fiber rod locates the trailing edge and a 4mm (M4) nylon screw holds it all in place.


I fly without landing gear mounted, so I recessed the aileron servo deeper into the wing for a bit more protection. Not much chance of me adding a hidden aileron linkage on this one, though it IS possible. The bent "gull" wing makes it more of a hassle than the mod is worth.
