In this video, we travel to Chicago basin, a beautiful alpine setting in Southwestern Colorado that is surrounded by large snowy peaks.

Still kind of cold, and a little bit too early for 14er summit attempts, Chicago Basin proves to be a great place to just chill for a few days, and the approach functions as a great shakedown hike for an upcoming thru hike of the John Muir Trail.
