Earwax is the dried cerumen in the external auditory canal of the Ear.Body produces earwax in order to trap durt and germs and preventing these from reaching to near the eardrum but in some people either too much earwax is produced or it gets dried early and instead of continuously coming out of ear it gets built up as hard earwax in the out ear canal.
Symptoms of earwax built up include hearing loss, feeling of fullness in ear ,earache, ringing bells sensation in ear etc.
If anyone has got these symptoms then the best thing to do is to consult your ear specialist doctor also called an ENT or Ear Nose & Throat surgeon or otolaryngologist.
After having a look inside of your outer ear your doctor may wither remove earwax from your ear using some instruments like otoscope and currettte or may scoop it out.Your ENT doctor also has the option of Using syring and water stream to remove earwax through a process called irrigation.
Your doctor may also prescribe you some soda glycerine drops which will help soften your hard earwax which will then fall off your ear all by itself.
