What is a rail trail? When he was 20 years old he rode his bicycle across America, from New London, CT to Tillamook, OR. Although Steve was raised in the family automobile business, he has always loved cycling. Steven Mitchell was born and raised in Simsbury, CT.

In 2007 Mitchell Auto Group, Steve's Family business, granted a 15' x 1/4 mile Right of Way so that the Rail Trail could continue through Simsbury. In 2009 he was asked become a member of the Board of Trustees for the East Coast Greenway.

In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, selforganized events that bring people together to share a TEDlike experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group.
