Easy Buttermilk Biscuits
Ingredients
2 cups allpurpose flour
2 tsps baking powder
1 tsps salt
1/4 tsps baking soda
7 Tbsp Cold unsalted butter
3/4 cup buttermilk
2 Tbsp of melted butter for baked biscuit tops
Mix dry ingredients together in a large bowl
Shred butter using a box grater
Mix butter into flour mixture
Make a well in the middle of the mixture and add buttermilk
Combine gently
Turn dough out on a floured surface and pat or role out with a rolling pin into a rectangle
Fold dough into thirds, role out into a rectangle, complete this step four times
Cut using a biscuit cutter
Bake in a 425 degree oven for 1315 minutes
Take out of the oven and spread melted butter over biscuits with a pastery brush
