Legend has it the last time there wasn't a croswind at Bristol Airport was in 1967! Okay, but seriously, the pilots based at Bristol certainly have to deal with their fair share of bad weather! Another lowpressure system swept across the UK today (28/12/22) bringing with it more strong wind and rain. With the wind due to be blowing directly from the south, I headed to the airport to film the action.

These were two of the highlights, along with the aborted landing I uploaded earlier (check it out here if you missed it    • LATE ABORTED LANDING in STRONG WIND! ...  ). Both the arrival and departure felt the full force of the 43mph gusty wind, with the pilots having to fight against mother nature to keep the aircraft stable. The departing flight was U26261/EZY21TE, an easyJet Airbus A320neo off to Paphos, and the arriving flight was U26072/EZY56AQ from Alicante. ✈
