There is no better way to explore a new city in a new country than through food and this is why we are taking you around the streets of Yaoundé, Cameroon to eat everything we can find and stop at some of the most popular attractions in town.

The street food is truly ingrained in the Cameroonians culture. From grilled fish, to akra beans and of course soya of 50/50 you can find a very wide variety of food from vendors all around the city.

Our personal highlight was our visit at the Briqueterie of Yaoundé. This is a true street meat paradise. The ambiance, and the delicious skewers for only 50 franc each really made our day from the start.

Other than the food, it was fascinating to drive around Yaoundé and explore the city and there is no better way to see the big picture than from the top of MontFébé. Also make sure to stop at the Reunification Monument to appreciate it's unique architecture.

To end the day, we suggest a stop at the Panoramique Lounge locate on the 11th floor of the Hilton Hotel Yaounde (The best hotel in Yaounde). Not for the food but really for the bats. Seeing thousand of massive bats flying around the building at sunset is truly an experience of it's own.
