Conference was held at the Romanian Senate on May 17th, 2023, in partnership with IOM Romania @IOMRomania and the Embassy of Sweden in Romania.
International experts, representatives from the EU Commission, GRETA, OSCE, UNODC, foreign embassies in Bucharest, the Romanian public authorities, international organisations and specialized civil society organisations took part in the discussions.
One topic focused on the main areas of reform in the context of the Revision of the EU AntiTrafficking Directive.
The voices of survivors were heard in every panel of the conference. Survivors must be consulted for a more relevant decisionmaking process at every level.
Participants discussed the need to adopt more ambitious strategies to eradicate the demand for sexual services in the European Union.
