Connecting the Raspberry Pi for Solar Assistant directly into the EG4 3000 RS232 RJ45 port. How do avoid melting your RS232 device with a custom cable and potentially ruining your Raspberry Pi and/or Inverter.

Any Raspberry Pi supported USB RS232 device/cable should work. Make sure you can get the pinout specs for the device before you purchase. The link below is for the $10 device I didn't melt.
