Twelveyearold Seth has EhlersDanlos syndrome (EDS), which makes physical therapy on land painful and potentially dangerous. To help Seth build and maintain muscle mass, his mother, Lynn, brings him to Premier Rehab for aquatic therapy in their HydroWorx 500 Series pool. Seth participated in aquatic therapy at Premier Rehab about once a week for four months and performed supplemental athome exercises. Lori Day, his physical therapist, developed a pool protocol that strengthened his muscles and joints throughout his body to help him manage his EDS symptoms. Thanks to the adjustable water level in the HydroWorx 500 Series pool, Lori can include underwater treadmill walking in Seth's regimen.

Lynn and Seth choose aquatic therapy over land therapy because it puts less stress on Seth's joints. Plus, as Seth says, "it's more fun!"
