The hope for you with these exercises and acupuncture points for Dry Eyes is that you can do this instead of artificial tears or eye drops. Even though they can be good in a pinch, frequent use of these products can make your eyes drier in the long run because they can wash away your eye's natural lubricants. Be careful of eye gels, artificial tears and drops that "take the red out". Only once in a while when you really need it. Otherwise, try these eye exercises to help bring your own innate lubrication onto the surface of your eye.

A lot of these acupuncture points, which you will be massaging or putting sustained pressure on, are based on a 2010 study from Acta Ophthalmologica. This is a peerreviewed medical journal of ophthalmology. The study is Acupuncture for Treating Dry Eye: A Randomized PlaceboControlled Trial. There were some positive findings in the the tear film breakup time (BUT) after 3 weeks.

Realize these were people who had chronic Dry Eye Syndrome. Many of you may have dry eyes from allergies, pregnancy, vitamin and mineral imbalances, post surgical dry eye, medications like antihistamines, antidepressants or blood pressure meds or conjunctivitis that might not have reached a chronic state. Let's see if this helps chronically dry eyes and those of you who just have an occasional or seasonal flare of irritated eyes.

You are now a study of your own body. Try this video and give it some time. Let me know how it goes. I wish I could put a guarantee on it but this going to be an adventure for both of us.
