André (Lázaro Ramos) leads a monotonous life in a modest neighborhood of Porto Alegre, working as a photocopy machine operator. His world turns upside down when he falls for his neighbor, Sílvia (Leandra Leal), desperately needing thirtyeight reais to impress her. André enlists his friend Cardoso (Pedro Cardoso) and coworker Marinês (Luana Piovani) on a series of wild plans to get the money. Surprisingly, they all work out. And that's where his problems begin.

"The Man Who Copied" is a unique comedy, ingeniously mixing elements of crime, romance, and creative animations that bring to life André's inventive mind as he chases his dreams.
