Elden Ring- Bleeding Star | Bloodflame Star Fist Build (NG+7)

IronStark917

Background: After doing my Iron Ball build and realizes how amazingly OP those weapons were, I was immediately intrigued by the idea of how powerful the Star Fists would be because they are literally the Iron Balls with slightly less Attack Rating, but with the potential of bleed. The end result is one of the most disgustingly powerful builds I've ever used.

For this Build: This is a Strength build with investment in Faith for access to damage buffs centered around the Star Fists, utilizing Bloodflame Blade, damage buffs and heavy attacks to inflict massive damage on bosses. This build functions exactly the same as my Iron Ball fist build; the only difference being this is also capable of inflicting bleed. So this build has a weapon that can dish out heavy attacks very quickly, likely the fastest heavy attacks in the game, the heavy attacks trigger successive attack buffs of Rotten Winged Sword and Millicent's Prosthesis, these heavy attacks can be further buffed by the Axe Talisman and Spiked Cracked Tear if fully charged and can inflict bleed and of course, this damage can be amped further by holistic damage buffs like Ritual Sword Talisman, Golden Vow and Howl of Shabriri, which buff ALL damage sources. Within a minute, most bosses this build faces will either a) have at least two bleed procs b) will get stance broken c) will just be felled or d) all three. If you can get passed the fact that Fist weapons have the worst range in the game, you will find yourself with one of the strongest PvE weapons in the game.

How to Improve this Build: To be honest... this build doesn't really need to be any more powerful than it already is haha. As it exists now, it is already a very powerful setup. Obviously, this build would be safer to run with higher Vigor and high poise armor. In terms of stats, if you must have more power, there are some ways you could make this build stronger:

a) Occult affinity You could make this build an Arcanecentric (80 Arcane, minimal Strength and build rather than Strength. You wouldn't need to use Bloodflame Blade and would have equal bleed build up to what this build is capable of natively. That Bleed would also be instant instead of an over time application like Bloodflame. That being said, it would be weaker in raw attack rating by 12% compared to this build with 80 Strength (483 vs 544)

b) Quality affinity You could make this build a Quality build (80 Strength and 80 Dexterity). This setup would still buff with Bloodflame Blade and would have higher raw damage by about 5% than this build with 80 Strength (570 vs 544). That said, 34 more damage for 66 levels of grinding...? You decide if that is worth it.

c) Blood affinity This is if you absolutely do not care about the PvP/Coop meta level at all (even less than Quality affinity). Like Occult affinity, you wouldn't need Bloodflame Blade and would have the highest possible Bleed buildup. With 80 Strength, 80 Dexterity and 80 Arcane, the Star Fist would be only slightly weaker with an attack rating of 535 but with much higher bleed buildup.

That being said, my favorite setup is my own of 80 Strength and use of Bloodflame Blade because it is very efficent to setup and I love optimized setups.
