Pinwheel is back in Elden Ring, and FromSoft gave him a snail bff.

In the Middle Ages, snails were both a popular meme and a powerful religious symbol that accompanied depictions of the Virgin Mary and the Crucifixion. Elden Ring continues that legacy by giving its snail enemies some surprisingly deep and disturbing lore, heavily linked with death and resurrection.

This video examines some of the lesser known but still important figures in Elden Ring like:
Necromancer Garris, who revived the ancient death hex, Depraved Perfumer Carmaan, who worked with Rykard on a Physick of Revivification, and Renna, who most likely created spiritcalling by studying the snails.
