I received a message that a disabled Veteran was about to get his lawn abated by the city. There was no way I was going to let that happen. So I left work early the next day to check it out. Sadly when I arrived this veteran had clearly been taken advantage of. He had paid someone to mow his lawn and you can see in the video they didn't do much. I was honored to assist this gentleman who shared lots of stories about himself and his family members who served our Country including the Army, Navy and Air Force. During conversation he mentioned that he used to fish a lot and loved to eat bluegill. I just happen to be going fishing the weekend. May have to make a trip back to this yard for part 2. A storm set in and I was not able to get the back as clean as I would have liked, but that gives me a good reason to enjoy some more stories and drop off some fish!
