The electrololysis is a process that splits the elements of a compound by means of the electricity.

I am going to perform the electrolysis of salt water (NaCl + H2O) in which hydrogen will be released at the negative pole or cathode and chlorine at the positive pole or anode. CAUTION. Chlorine is irritant. If you preform this experiment do it outdorrs or in a fume hood.
