"Elemental" is a fun animated movie made by Walt Disney Pictures and Pixar Animation Studios. It's Pixar's 27th film and came out on June 16, 2023.



This marks the first Pixar movie without Funko figures.
It's also the initial Pixar film since Turning Red not to have LEGO sets.
Unlike previous teasers, this is the first Pixar movie, since Monsters University, to feature a teaser that introduces a new scene resembling a short film rather than using scenes from the movie.
"Elemental" introduces Lake Ripple, Pixar's inaugural nonbinary character.
This is the second Pixar movie, following Cars 3, to debut on June 16 and be helmed by Peter Sohn, who previously directed The Good Dinosaur.
As for its release, "Elemental" is the first Disney animated film to hit theaters in China since Encanto (2021), following the absence of Turning Red, Lightyear, and Strange World in the country. The reasons vary, including unknown factors for the former and LGBT themes for the latter two.
This also marks Pixar's return to the Chinese market since Luca (2021).
A fun cameo appears in Lightyear, where Wade makes a surprise appearance on a bottled drink labeled "Wade Water".
Additionally, "Elemental" premiered alongside the Pixar short film Carl's Date, making it the first Pixar movie since Incredibles 2 to feature a Pixar short film preceding it.
