The Foreign Legion is an elite corps of the French army which brings together 8,000 men of more than 130 different nationalities. Every year, 7,000 candidates from all over the world hope to join. They become volunteers, leaving behind their name, their nationality and their past.
Those who are selected join the Legion school for four months of intensive training.
