"Sometimes it’s about what isn’t there rather than what is. The gaps in sound are a tool that are often overlooked and difficult to control in electronic music. The lack of sound can be a powerful tool if used correctly. This week we’d like you to incorporate an element of silence in your jams. This could be a pause before a break, a moment of reflection in a bridge section, some time to allow the track to breathe between sections. Show us what can be done when you are thinking about what isn’t there rather than what is."
