Boasting the toprated emergency medicine training program in Florida (Doximity, 2020) and one of the top programs in the South, the University of Florida Department of Emergency Medicine in Jacksonville, Florida, offers a challenging emergency medicine residency program at a busy metropolitan academic health center with a Level I trauma center. Our program forges exceptional emergency medicine physicians capable of excelling in any clinical environment and prepared to assume leadership roles in their future practice.
Our threeyear program is accredited through the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education. The program began in 1975 and has an outstanding reputation as a strong clinical program with an impressive array of pathology, with abundant academic and research opportunities.
The UF Health Jacksonville Emergency Room has 69 beds, including five bays in the Level I trauma center and an 11bed pediatric emergency department. Our residents and fellows hail from many locations throughout the United States. Likewise, we boast a very diverse faculty with a broad range of experience and expertise.
