Emotional 'Fly A Spitfire' experience from Biggin Hill Heritage Hangar

For my 60th birthday, I had the privilege to fly in a Spitfire above the Kent Countryside. Thanks to www.flyaspitfire.com which is based in Biggin Hill : after the security briefing, we took off with a chase plane in the direction of Leeds Castel. We passed over the Battle of Britain memorial at Capel Le Ferne, the Dover Harbord and Canterbury for a 55 minute flight. I took the commands for 20 minutes during the flight, very sensitive airplane indeed. Big feelings, it was the top of my Bucket List, one of the best days of my life. Spitfire MK9 TE308 was built in June 1944 and flies in the colors of N°457 Royal Australian Air Force, nicknamed the “Grey Nurse Squadron”. A Special thanks to my pilot of the day Steve Harris and all my family and friends :)
