Empathy means to have sympathy or compassion for another. This is because we are able to experience in our imagination through our intellectual thought process what another being is going through.

But as a psychic experience, empathy in an Empathic Connection is literally felt because it is experienced on a soul level and not just an intellectual one. In other words, you don't just understand what someone is going through; you know because you can feel it or comprehend it personally as if it is happening to you too.
