I visit Rio de Piedras, one of the most millionaire neighborhoods in San Pedro Sula, to realize that its school is sadly rotten and in total abandonment. I didn't expect to see such a situation in an area full of mansions with swimming pools and luxury cars and shopping centers full of brand name stores. I realize that most of the students come from the riverbed shanty slums next to the millionaire neighborhood. They are the children of the blue collar laborers in the sector, such as bricklayers, restaurant cooks and cleaners. Due to lack of resources, these families live along the banks of rivers where it often floods. I visit the homes of several students to learn about their lives, hopes and dreams for the future.
