This video is a demonstration of the leakage by pressure decay test of ISO 8036920:2015, Annex B using the Enersol – S77 – Automated Pressure Decay tester.

Shown in this video is the Annex B test on a smallbore connector that has been sealed. The technician has entered a dummy internal volume for the demonstration. This video is a simple demonstration of the S77 tester and does not include other important steps of the method.

The technician assembles the sample using the S15A connector assembly device (video here:    • Enersol  S15A  Connector Assembly D...   ) and then after filling with the appropriate medium (if required in the individual part standard), carries out the leakage by pressure decay test using the S77.

Variants of the S77 Automated Pressure Decay tester is available for other pressure ranges. The S77 is specifically for the method in Annex B of ISO 8036920:2015 to apply a pressure in the range of 300 kPa to 330 kPa. Other variants cover higher and lower pressure ranges for ISO 803692, ISO 182503 and ISO 182508.

This tester automatically calculates the leakage rate as required in Annex B of ISO 8036920:2015. The system is programmed with its internal volume included in the calculation and the technician need only enter the total internal volume of the external components (connector + hose + reference connector + sample). The test is easily carried out by following the onscreen prompts. The system is supplied with a pressure calibration controller to be used during calibration of the system.
