As the third deep dive masterclass, this session will focus on "DeRisking Smart Green City Projects to Leverage Private Sector Investment". The online session took place on Thursday, 25 April 2024, and designed for all fifteen 15 SGAC Programme's Nominated Cities chosen based on their smart green initiatives. It was aimed to provide an understanding of risk factors related to smart green city projects, risk management measures, and risk mitigation strategies.

As the guest speaker, Andre Permana, Executive Director of Business at PT Penjaminan Infrastruktur Indonesia (IIGF), discussed the IIGF's role in PublicPrivate Partnerships (PPP) and addressing financing gaps in Indonesia's infrastructure development. He highlighted the IIGF's unique features, such as providing government guarantees and project development assistance, which enhance project credibility and transparency, benefiting both the government and the public. He also detailed their guarantee structure, emphasizing that it primarily covers government risks, not investor risks, and is processed through the Government Contracting Agency (GCA).
