Despite looking like an oldschool rock/blues guitar, the Ibanez AR420 is a versatile sounding instrument, suitable for heavy music as well. This guitar has an okoume body, a flame maple top, and a maple neck with a jatoba fretboard. The AR420 boasts excellent balance and two cutaways for easy access to the upper frets. As for the electronics, there are two passive Alnico humbuckers, a pair of volume controls, two tone knobs, a threeway pickup toggle and Trisound coil tap switchs for both pickup.
