In September 2023, my 2023 KTM 1290 Super Adventure R suffered critical engine damage while I was traveling at 190 km/h on the German Autobahn. This was the first technical issue I had ever experienced with any of the three KTM 1290 Super Adventure motorcycles I’ve owned, despite having ridden KTMs for a combined total of 100,000 kilometers.
