Late Charles Olet hailed by Leaders
Leaders in Northern Uganda have welcomed the appointment of Dr Kenneth Omona as the new Minister for Northern Uganda replacing Grace Freedom Kwiyucwiny.
Sam Engola and General Charles Otema Awany implores the new minister to focus on investments that will impact the local people.

Senior presidential advisor Sam Engola and Commander of the reserve force Gen Charles Otema Awany have welcomed the appointment of Dr Kenneth Omona as state minister for Northern Uganda.
Omona replaces Grace freedom Kwiyucwiny who served in the fort polio from June 2016 until the recent reshuffle by his excellency the president.
Northern Ugand suffered a devastating civil conflict for over a decade. While progress has been made through different interventions, addressing poverty remains a critical concern in the region. Leaders want the new minister to put efforts in improving livelihoods, reduce vulnerability and sustain economic growth, mind set change notwithstanding.
They were speaking at the memorial service for former CA representative, Late Charles Christopher Olet. Olet passed on at 88years in 2022.
Otema warned the people of Lango against following old parties like UPC, rallying people to NRM.
UPC has won in both byelections held in Lango and threatened to sweep all parliamentary positions in Lango come 2026.
