This video explains why Pennsylvania has the best boondocking on the east coast. There are over 2 million acres of state forest land in the Commonwealth. Booking a free dispersed campsite in one of these state forests is easy to do on the DCNR website. [see UPDATE belowit's not free anymore]. Furthermore, access to the 121 state parks in PA is completely free, whether you are a resident or not. In this video, I will show you five of my favorite boondocking sites in PA and tell you what areas to explore in the vicinity of each location.

Our tax dollars already should be paying for free access and camping on public lands! Forcing people to pay makes access to these natural resources a twotiered system only available to those who can afford it. America deserves better.
