The United States Air Force Band and @ChoralArtsDC Youth Choir present "Equus", by the one and only Eric Whitacre! This video was recorded as part of our 2022 Guest Artist Series.
"Equus" is dedicated to conductor and educator Gary Green. The piece, named after the Latin word for horse, embodies the essence of this term, signifying a relentless drive. Showcasing wind instrument and choral virtuosity, it embraces "dynamic minimalism" through engaging repetitive patterns. Premiering in March 2000, this composition stands as a testament to dedication and perseverance in its creation. We hope that you enjoy the magnificent "Equus" by Eric Whitacre!
