Eric is sorting gumballs into bowls suddenly, a gumball rolls away, and as Eric chases it, Emma sneakily takes a container of gumballs for her candy party. Eric returns, puzzled by the missing gumballs, and starts searching everywhere. He wrongly accuses Ellie of taking them, and they use a lie detector to find out the truth.

Surprisingly, the lie detector reveals Ellie is telling the truth. She even refilled the gumballs after taking some! The mystery deepens until Eric confronts Uncle in the kitchen, who is then also tested with the lie detector. Uncle admits he accidentally broke a bowl of gumballs and replaced them with a vase.

Finally, Eric discovers a trail of gumballs leading to Emma's candy party. Emma, put in the lie detector, confesses she took the gumballs for the party. The story ends with a happy twist: everyone joins Emma's candy party, playing games and enjoying sweets together.

Lesson Learned: The story teaches children the importance of not jumping to conclusions and the value of honesty. It shows that misunderstandings can happen and that it's important to find out the whole story before blaming others.
