Physics Ninja looks at 3 problems involving escape velocity. In problem 1 we show how to calculate the escape velocity for the Earth. In problem 2 we look at a case where the initial speed is less than the escape velocity and solve for the final height and in problem 3 we look at a case where the initial velocity is greater than the escape velocity. I also look at how the problems can be represented on an energy vs distance diagram.
