What makes a watch tick? In this episode, I'll be explaining how I designed the escapement of my watch movement in Fusion 360. In addition, I go over some additional info about the gear train in a watch, including the moments of inertia of the wheels and integer ratios.

About Homebrew Horology:
I've always been passionate about the intricate mechanics and design of mechanical watches and clocks, so I decided, why not try to design one from scratch myself? About me:
I'm a firstyear Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering student at Princeton University! I've been making things ever since I was young. I loved (and still do) using my hands to create intricate and detailed origami models, Lego contraptions– and this passion progressed as I learned about electronics and how to solder, computeraided manufacturing and design, and machining.
