Yup you ready the title correctly, the ability to apply area of effect TAUNTS in The Elder Scrolls Online is now GONE! This is GONE and it WON'T be returning!
Following multiple interviews and discussions with the devs, they have finally gotten around to altering a constantly irritating set in the game that has proven to give UNINTENDED results for far too long! The set in question being the Tormentor set! This originally was designed to allow charge/teleport/pull/blink abilities to taunt targets, but it had ONE major oversight... Skills that hit MULTIPLE targets on impact, applied to ALL targets with no cool down. Meaning you could taunt a crowded room all at once!

The developers want players to make their own choices when it comes to aggro in The Elder Scrolls Online, since the taunts are controlled and not aggro counter driven like most other popular mmorpgs. And after a 3 year combat pass, they finalled nailed the coffin shut on how sets affect skills!
