My first Eurorack DIY build was an Excalibus power supply by Befaco. This will eventually power the modules in my case which is planned to be two 3U rows and one 1U row at 104HP. I was surprised that I didn't recognize that this kit is mostly made of sockets which are all surface mount (technically) until I was in the middle of soldering it up. In the end starting out with surface soldering didn't really cause too much trouble and made me feel a bit more confident about going forward.
