Luckily Decompression Sickness in Freediving doesn't happen often but still better to have basic knowledge about it. Few rules to follow
1. Avoid dehydration, fatigue, and long openwater training sessions
2. Have proper thermal protection
3. Limit the amount of deep dives (according to your current level)
4. Have enough service interval between your dives
5. Have O2 on the boat or at the dive center if you diving from the shore
