Did I miss anything on this road trip down Oregon's coastline? I don't think so! It took two weeks to stop at every town (and other features like the famed lighthouses and viewpoints). The Oregon Coast is almost entirely accessible by vehicle. It is 362 miles long from north to south. It also has a couple other names and designations: Highway 101, The People's Coast and The Pacific Coast Scenic Byway. It's also an All American Road, which is a Federal Highway Administration designation. The criteria for an All American Road is that it must feature two or more intrinsic qualities that are nationally significant and do not exist elsewhere. The road must also be a destination unto itself, which means the actual drive is the primary reason for the trip.
