This is everything you need to know about Welt Yang before playing Honkai: Star Rail.

If you never played Honkai Impact 3rd before, you might be very confused as to why people lose their minds over this plainlooking Grandpa, that is seemingly obsessed with making anime and going on space adventures with a bunch of kids. Welt is a Hero who saved Earth countless times. A man that endured insurmountable obstacles and managed to rise up to the challenge every time.

This video is aimed at newer players that wish to join the Honkai series with the release of Honkai Star Rail. HoYoverse already has a rich "multiverse" structure established inside Honkai Impact 3rd, but for most newcomers, that concept might be a bit confusing and not properly explained in Star Rail yet. Welt Yang is the only confirmed character from Honkai Impact 3rd that went over to Honkai Star Rail, so I made this video to go over his history and lore. From the moment he took up the name "Welt" in the Anti Entropy Visual Novel, until his latest adventures on the Sky People's spaceship together with Void Archives.
