About this video:

Hi friends, welcome back to another urban sketching tutorial! In today’s video, we have a really interesting project on our work table! While searching for a nice urban scene to sketch, I found an old teahouse with a peculiar appearance due to its leaning to one side of the street. Initially, I thought of sketching it with its original proportions, but then I decided to exaggerate its tilt to both sides. This approach shows that in urban sketching, you don't need to stick to exact proportions. In fact, the more exaggerated and freehand your sketch, the better, as it reflects your unique drawing style and sets your work apart from others.

Since the focus was on this characteristic, I chose to leave the surrounding buildings and street without color, adding only shadows with graphite and a blending pencil. As with my other marker pen projects, in this video, I used my professional Classic Copic markers, marker paper, fine liners, and graphite.

Let me know your thoughts on this project, and if you want to try a similar sketch, do let me know! Thank you so much for watching! I hope you enjoyed the video.
