Exercises for a shoulder dislocation to help you recover quickly

Follow
Dr. David Geier

A shoulder dislocation is a traumatic injury of the shoulder in which the humeral head (or the “ball” of the ballandsocket joint) slides completely out of the glenoid (the “socket”). Since studies have recently shown a high rate of recurrent shoulder instability, especially in young athletes, orthopedic surgeons are increasingly treating even firsttime shoulder dislocations in young athletes surgically. Still, many people can do well and recover quickly by performing regular exercises for a shoulder dislocation.
