The client’s goals were “to create an open and lightfilled home that maximized views of the Sonoran Desert and the valley below.” This 3300squarefoot home, tucked into the corner of the property, has a fluid connection between the indoors and the outdoors. Frameless windows and minimal frame doors create exceptional transparency, and the floor plan weaves together the home, the courtyards and the untouched desert. Using a natural palette of materials and colors, this home blends in with its surroundings. The stone walls complement the browns and tans of the surrounding mountains, while the light stucco provides bouncing light throughout the house.
